Everything Quad-Related is EVIL! |
seriously… lunges are KILLER! and it seems like everybody at the gym does them! with weights, without weights… then we had to do squats with a workout ball against the wall - have you done that? OMG again, it looks SO EASY and relaxing, but it’s KILLER!! everything is KILLER tonight!!
jeesh… but workout number two wasn’t THAT bad… SECOND NOTE TO SELF: quit smoking for real… that’s definitely been my biggest drawback even though we’re just at workout number two… my stamina is shot… but i’m getting there! s l o w l y b u t s u r e l y!
what i’ve learned since sunday, which most of you probably already know… the best way to heal a sore body is to keep it moving!! last night my good friend dana came over and we walked 2 miles around the track! in the cold! bundled up like eskimos! but it was great! rejuvenating! and my muscles didn’t feel that sore! it was like magic! although i did still had to rub myself down with some pain relieving cream (i love that stuff)… our trainer, greg, advises that the first 2 weeks are the roughest and once we get over that we’ll be fine… shoot, i better!! i haven’t worked this hard in a long time… tonight’s hour was really quite long… but it’s just something i have to get used to and i will! but i actually don’t feel as sore as i did two days ago so i take that as a good sign!!
Keeping it short, my dear friends… And again, thank you ALL for your support!! And just remember that I’m supporting all of you that are your own journey as well! By summer, we’ll all be wearing bikinis with NO SHAME!! NO SHAME, LADIES!

Cecilia!!!!!!!!! It’s not evil! Squats are Fun! (Coming from someone that almost collasped! hahaha) Girl, you did GREAT today! But seriously, how many times did feel that you could use your arms for a jump rope? My arms are like noodles! Forget about the squats! Those push-ups are EVIL!

Cecilia…hi! I’ve missed you guys the first 2 workouts, but see you at the next ones. Promise. Been in New York at a trade show so I was on my feet for 3 days straight. At least today I walked to Soho about 30 blocks. Somehow, fast walking followed by some shopping at the most fabulous boutiques, well that’s what I call motivation! Unfortunately, the heaviest weight I lifted was my credit card. Not heavy enough! Is there such a thing as making your arms too sore to shop? I have a feeling I’ll soon find out. Til then…

I hear you Cecilia and I think the only way to battle an “evil quad” it to whittle it away! I hurt too today but not as much as I thought…it’s amazing when you can actually get a great workout using just your own body in different scenarios (no weights)…just the 15 minutes of lunging made me want to weep. You did awesome. See you Friday or Sunday!

Hi all! My name is Juan and I’ve known Cecilia or as I call her Ces’, for a lonnnngggg time, heck we even dated, and through it all she has proven to be one tough chick! I KNOW she’ll get the results she desires, and as a friend I support her and her efforts! It isn’t easy and so I salute and am proud of Ces for doing this. Oh and funny how this works but I also know Lakita, who is also in this group. Lakita, If anyone can do this I KNOW you can! I’ve been blessed to know both these women and their courage and strength, gives me motivation to reach for my goals in life. Thank you ladies for being inspirations!

Hey there Ces!
Wow! This is a great way to start a new year. You just did it in Grand fashion. Just stay strong mentally, emotionally, and physically and you’ll get through this change just fine. I’ve been very bad myself not going back to the gym for 3 months now. You motivate me to go back. Rvi and I wish you all the luck and support on your journey and we’ll keep checking up on your progress. Have a great journey!
P.S. You’re a pretty good dancer!

This is Ces’ BFF…Michaelene. I am sooooo proud of my girl! She is truly inspiring me to get myself into shape, mainly because there is no way i want to be hanging out with a skinny hot chick this summer while i’m all round trying to look good in bikini!
Ces…Aruba is calling us and this time we’ll do it right!
